$10 million renovation, rebrand planned for downtown Phoenix high-rise

After Sumitomo Corporation of Americas bought the Collier Center in downtown Phoenix for $190 million in late 2019, Transwestern Real Estate Services is planning a $10 million renovation and rebrand to the high-rise.
âAlongside Sumitomo, we have planned top-of-the-line renovations that will elevate the iconic building beyond recognition from its previous appearance,â Jim Achen, Transwestern senior vice president, said in a statement. âIn light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have given special consideration to incorporating advanced touchless technology and safe space planning strategies.â
Randall Niemann has been promoted to chief strategy officer by Active Release Techniques in Colorado Springs.
Dr. P. Michael Leahy, the company s founder, remains as president and was also named chairman. Edwards had been vice president of brand licensing and management and general counsel at ART and previously was a lawyer in the intellectual property group at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie. Niemann had been vice president of sales and service at ART and previously was chief operating officer of Open Sky Education.
Scott Flexman has been hired as vice president of sales and marketing for The Broadmoor.
