The wildfires out West in Oregon, California, Washington and Canada are affecting more than just West Coast residents.
The fires are so large that not only are they creating their own weather, the smoke they re generating will drift into our area Wednesday, lowering air quality significantly.
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for fine particulate matter for Wednesday, July 21, in Berks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

Warnings are also issued for Lehigh, Northampton, Bucks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties.
Smoke from wildfires will persist early in the day on Wednesday before a cold front moves through in the afternoon bringing in cleaner air. Daily average concentrations of fine particulate matter, however, will likely reach the Code Orange range on Wednesday.
