Driver dies 2 weeks after Lehigh County crash, coroner’s office says Updated 5:18 PM; A 60-year-old New Jersey man has died two weeks after suffering injuries in a Lehigh County crash. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office is identifying the driver as Virgil Harrison of Avenel, Middlesex County. He was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township. Harrison died from complications of multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death was ruled accidental, according to the coroner’s office. Harrison was driving shortly after 10:30 a.m. March 22 when he struck another vehicle along the Route 222 North bypass in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, authorities said. The accident happened about 297 feet west of Mill Creek Road.
