Capitol Hill, Monrovia – The Managing Director of the Liberia Water & Sewer Corporation (LWSC), Duannah Kamara has blamed the country’s failed sewage system to the huge population size of Monrovia and limited budgetary support to the entity.
Mr. Duannah was speaking when he and his management team were invited by the House to give reasons why the LWSC has failed over the years to address the issues of leakages of sewage pipes at several points down waterside and Mechlin Street in Monrovia.

Dear Honorable Members:
I have the troubling honor as result of the action of the Liberia Water & Sewer Corporation (LWSC) to have illegally dismissed key members of the Union’s leadership; namely: Ralph Jahny, Fred D. Gardley and Henry Gbiah on an alleged account of disrespecting the office of the managing Director and with gross disregard to the Decent Work Act, 2015 dissolved the Worker Unions.

Monrovia – Liberia’s largest opposition bloc, the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) says contrary to President Weah’s assertion in his annual message that his Pro Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development is well on course and achieving results, his government has failed to address the plight of Liberians who resoundingly voted him in 2017.
