The McClain Tigers used an 18-12 third quarter to knock off the Chillicothe Cavaliers in Greenfield Friday night.
In a game that neither team led by more than seven, the third quarter was McClain time. The Tigers knocked down 8 of 11 shots and forced several Chillicothe turnovers to go from down three at the half to up three at the end of three periods. The Tigers never relinquished the lead as the Cavs got within two time after time in the final period.
Cavs coach Eric Huffer liked the effort but little things like giving up drive in layups without back side help, continue to hurt his club. “We have to get better at the little things,” said Huffer.
