CHAPMANVILLE â Chapmanville Police charged a man and woman from Lake with possession of fentanyl and conspiracy following a traffic stop.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court, the incident occurred at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday, May 2, while Cpl. E.C. Ferrell and Patrolman M.A. Honeycutt were on routine patrol on Main Street in Chapmanville. According to the complaint, the two pulled over a red car traveling toward Wendyâs for obstructing driverâs view.
Police say they noticed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle as they approached it and made contact with the driver, Robin Danielle Abbott, 40, and its passenger, Millard Allen Abbott, 35, both of Lake. The two reportedly gave consent to police to search the car.
LOGAN â Police in Logan charged a woman with possession after she was found with a substance that tested positive for fentanyl.
City patrolman M.S. Hall writes in a criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court that he responded to the parking lot of Loweâs at the Fountain Place Mall on March 31 over a suspicious woman who was looking inside vehicles.
When he arrived, Hall made contact with the accused, Amber Nicole Means, 28, of Logan, standing on the lumber side of the parking lot.
Hall writes that he observed Means to have âglossy bloodshot eyesâ and that she could not complete a full sentence that made sense.
CHAPMANVILLE â A man and woman are accused by Chapmanville Police of driving under the influence and being in possession of a mix of heroin and fentanyl while a child was in the backseat of their vehicle.
The arrests were made April 7 after patrolmen E.C. Ferrell and M.A. Honeycutt of the Chapmanville Police Department were dispatched to the Rich gas station in Chapmanville on a possible impaired driver complaint. According to a criminal complain filed in Logan County Magistrate Court, the caller said a man was severely impaired and had a child in the backseat of a silver Jeep vehicle.
LOGAN â A man from Utah was once again arrested in Logan recently and charged with attempting to break into vehicles at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Jameel Latif Jouquin, 32, of Salt Lake City, Utah, is charged with automobile tampering, trespassing on posted land and attempted grand larceny.
The incident at LRMC happened at approximately 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 7. According to a criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court, Deputy J.L. Mathis with the Logan County Sheriffâs Department received a call through Logan County 911 about a man attempting to gain access into several vehicles in the LRMC parking area.
MOUNT GAY â A woman from the Breeden area of Mingo County is accused of trying to bite a West Virginia state trooperâs arm after she was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing at the Kroger grocery store at Mount Gay.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate Court, Trooper First Class M.J. Miller received a complaint through Logan County 911 on Sunday, April 4, that a female was acting disorderly at Kroger the Mount Gay area.
When Miller arrived, he said he saw the woman attempting to open a door of a parked vehicle. Miller made contact with the woman and identified her as Katrina Bryant, 40, of Breeden.
