Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal getting vaccinated today. New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today got vaccinated at New Delhi s Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Hospital today, three days after Phase II of India s nationwide Covid-19 inoculation drive began. He was administered Covishield. Mr Kejriwals parents Gobind Ram Kejriwal and Gita Devi, too, got their injections, along with him. All three received their first dose in the morning today. Covishield is manufactured by Pune-based Serum Institute and developed in partnership with Oxford University and pharma giant AstraZeneca. Russia s Sputnik-V and Cadila Healthcare s ZyCov-D, too, are likely to enter the market shortly.

Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, Feb 13 : Not much excitement could be seen among health workers who are scheduled for the second dose of Covid immunisation on Saturday. The second dose immunisation started with a low turnout at many key hospitals of the national capital. Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital said that only 10 health workers have confirmed to get the second vaccine shot so far. The rest have given several excuses like busy schedule and on leave. However, we are following up with them, said Dr Chhavi Gupta, media spokesperson of the hospital.

Union health minister Harsh Vardhan (File photo) NEW DELHI: Preparations for rollout of the massive vaccination drive against Covid-19 were completed on Friday with the control room in Nirman Bhawan which houses the health ministry set to scrutinise implementation of the pan-India drive on a real-time basis. PM Modi will flag off the vaccination drive on Saturday at 10.30 am, activating 3,006 session sites covering all states and UTs. Each site will inoculate an average of 100 beneficiaries on the first day. The PM is also likely to interact with healthcare workers at New Delhi’s AIIMS and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital through video conferencing.
