Cleveland, OH - On Thursday, July 15, 2021, detectives from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office along with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, began to track the location of Justin Hamilton.
After obtaining, a possible location of Hamilton members of the U. S Marshal Fugitive Task Force, located and took custody of Hamilton without incident. Hamilton is being charged with Vandalism, a Felony of the 5th Degree and Escape, a Felony of the 2nd Degree. Hamilton is scheduled to appear in the Elyria Municipal Court on Monday, July 19, 2021.
Both Hamilton and Kevin McKitrick escaped from the Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility last month. McKitrick turned himself in on Wednesday.

ELYRIA, Ohio An inmate who escaped two weeks ago from the Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility has been taken into custody, but another inmate remains on the loose.
Kevin McKitrick surrendered to authorities Wednesday afternoon at the Lorain County Jail in Elyria after two days of phone conversations with sheriff’s detectives, members of U.S Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and other authorities, according to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.
He has been charged with escape and vandalism, and is scheduled to appear Thursday in Elyria Municipal Court.

LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio The Lorain County Sheriff s Office is asking for the public s assistance in locating two men who recently escaped from the Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility, located in Elyria.
According to officials, Justin Hamilton and Kevin McKitrick were able to escape the facility on June 29 by breaking a window around 8:30 p.m. and climbing out.
