Eastern High School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 24 (Second dose June 14)
J.W. Sexton High School, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. May 25 (Second dose June 15)
Reo Elementary School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 25 (Second dose June 15)
Willow Elementary School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 1 (Second dose June 22)
Gier Park Elementary School, 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 3 (Second dose June 24)
The health department is also hosting vaccination clinics at Holt High School from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Kinawa Middle School in Okemos from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Haslett High School from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday. Second doses are scheduled for June 16 at Holt, June 17 at Kinawa and June 18 at Haslett.
Ingham County Looking For Volunteer Vaccinators
The Staff at Lansing Urgent Care have been working nonstop at their clinic and the Ingham Country vaccination center to administer vaccines. They re now looking for individuals interested in becoming a volunteer vaccinator. Lansing Urgent Care s Director of Business Hillary Myers says finding volunteers isn t as easy as you d think.
Vaccinators are the most difficult volunteers to come by because not everyone can vaccinate. So, vaccinators are generally the health care workers that are already working really hard.
A lot of the clinics members are working overtime and spending their days off at the drive-thru vaccinating. Sarah Warren, a physician s assistant at Lansing Urgent care has been coordinating the volunteers at the vaccination center and says she has help, but is in need of reinforcements.
Update: Covid-19 Vaccine Distribution in Ingham County
The Ingham County Health Department has teamed up with Michigan State University, Lansing Urgent Care, and the National Guard to administer drive-thru and appointment only COVID-19 vaccines at the MSU Pavilion. Some recipients shared their thoughts about the quick and easy process, as well as the importance of being able to get vaccinated. Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail also describes how the process has been going behind the scenes, addresses common concerns, and encourages all who are able to sign up.
