Portland police said the driver went off Powell Boulevard east of 24th Avenue, hit some poles, plowed through a TriMet bus kiosk and rolled his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which came to a rest in a parking lot.
Authorities responded about 5:45 a.m. and unsuccessfully tried to save the driver, who’s been publicly identified only as a 73-year-old Happy Valley man. There are signs a medical event may have contributed to the crash, according to police.
