Nearly 200 small and medium-sized businesses in the Kenora-Rainy River district got a financial boost from Ontario’s provincial government through the new Northern Ontario Recovery Program.
A total of 187 businesses in the region are getting $3.98 million from Queen’s Park. Each business, on average, received up to $25,000. The grant that’s funded through the Northern Ontario Heritage Corporation is meant to help businesses improve safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
