Two Fayetteville men are accused of operating illegal nightclubs on Cedar Creek Road after separate raids by state and local authorities. Agents with state Alcohol Law Enforcement and Cumberland County Alcohol Beverage Control seized cash, alcohol, drugs and a stolen firearm in raids on Friday and Saturday, according to a statement released Tuesday by the ALE. ALE agents received information about an illegal nightclub, 53 Bar and Lounge, at 3213 Cedar Creek Road, the statement said. That location previously held active ABC permits, but closed in October 2016, it said. Special agents investigated and found that the location was operating like a nightclub with a cover fee, DJ, armed security, and a full bar, according to the statement.
