Heaven Fitch made history in 2020, and is getting more recognition on her efforts now.
The high schooler won the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s individual wrestling state championship (106 lb category). She is the first girl to ever win a state championship.
ABC 7 reported that Fitch “dominated” a field of boys on route to the championship match versus Luke Wilson. Fitch’s championship clinching victory over Wilson can be seen below:
