Carrie Prejean-Boller is a concerned mom who says as a parent, it should be her choice to decide if her children should or should not wear a mask in school.
“We were all nervous about the pandemic early on, but we are not scared of it anymore,” Prejean-Boller said. “It’s time for the end of it.”
Many other parents came to address the school board about their mask concerns too, but Gracie Caminiti, a seventh-grader at Woodland Heights Middle School, was the only student to speak to the board about her personal masking wearing experience in school.
North Carolina declares state of emergency over Colonial Pipeline outage

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper on Monday declared a state of emergency over the temporary outage of the Colonial Pipeline caused by a cybersecurity attack.
The declaration will suspend motor vehicle fuel regulations as a means to ensure there is enough supply throughout the state until the pipeline resumes regular operations. Today’s emergency declaration will help North Carolina prepare for any potential motor vehicle fuel supply interruptions across the state and ensure motorists are able to have access to fuel, Cooper said in a statement.

In an event at Johnson C. Smith University, it was revealed that Wells Fargo is awarding $3.2 million in grants to various organizations to help them advance economic mobility, improve racial equity and support minority owned businesses and the next generation of entrepreneurs.
