A 24-year-old man on parole was arrested after allegedly shooting and killing a man in Fort Morgan Sunday afternoon, said police.
Fort Morgan Police Department (FMPD) took Ryan Rodriguez into custody on Sunday night, said a post on the department s Facebook page.
Police said they responded to the shooting scene in the 800 block of West Railroad Avenue on Sunday where they found one man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken by ambulance to the Colorado Plains Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, said police.

The Weld County Sheriff s Office is warning residents about a recent uptick in catalytic converter thefts in the county.
According to the sheriff s office, agencies nationwide have seen a rise of catalytic converter thefts during the past year, including locally.
Since January 1, 2021, Weld County has responded to total of 15 stolen catalytic converters, taken from vehicles during three different incidents at various locations. In addition, deputies are currently investigating an attempted catalytic converter theft case.
Law enforcement explains the reason they have been seeing an increase of converter thefts is due to the high amount of precious metals found in the devices. In addition, a news release published by the Catalytic Converter Theft Committee of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators, in cooperation with the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, noted that these parts are trading at record prices. WELD COUNTY, Colo. â A 4-day-old colt was stolen from a farm outside of Fort Lupton sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

The Weld County Sheriffâs Office is looking for the public s help locating the young horse. The sheriff s office said it was stolen from a property along the 13600 block of Weld County Road 18 1/2 sometime between 10:45 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The farm is just north of Fort Lupton.
The sheriff s office said the colt is valued at $12,000.

WELD COUNTY, Colo. Weld County Sheriff s (WCSO) is searching for information about an assault and vehicle theft that took place Thursday night north of Greeley.
WCSO said the victim was assaulted while driving north on U.S. 85, towing a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
A trailing vehicle flashed its lights at the resident, said deputies. He pulled over to see if there was something wrong with the trailer but WCSO said he was assaulted.
The resident woke up to find his vehicle, trailer and motorcycle were all stolen said WCSO.
