The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 3:26 p.m. of a single ATV crash involving a female who was found unresponsive. Deputies and medical personnel responded to the remote area on the Thorpe Tower Forest Road and located the crash scene. Cassandra Berg was pronounced dead at the scene, after a Nevis first responder and sheriff’s deputy performed CPR until North Memorial Health Ambulance arrived on scene. Extensive efforts to revive Berg were unsuccessful, according to the sheriff’s office.
