Groundbreaking nears for Law Enforcement Memorial in GF

By Doug Barrett May 13, 2021 | 8:11 AM Supporters of a Northern Valley Law Enforcement Memorial are hoping to close a fundraising gap this week. A committee working to secure $250,000 dollars for the project is working with over a dozen businesses who are donating a portion of their sales to help bring the memorial to Optimist Park. Committee Chair Bob Rost says after three years of planning over $200,000 has been raised. Rost says they hope to break ground next month. The memorial will pay tribute to law enforcement who had died in the line of duty from northeastern North Dakota….northwest Minnesota…and Manitoba.
