Living Sky division still navigating COVID-19 challenges

Vickers reported that school divisions are waiting for quote a third-party provider to offer those. According to her report, right now the Miinistry of Health is working with Sask Builds and Procurement on developing a request for pre-qualifications tender for third party providers to deliver testing. There was also an update on where things stood in the division with respect to level 3 of the Saskatchewan Safe Schools Plan. Vickers noted only one school in the division was at level 3 at the moment, that being North Battleford Comprehensive High School, meaning that “sometimes (students are) at school and sometimes they’re at home.”

Rick Lewchuk: from North Battleford to the Emmy Awards

The Emmy was won in the category of Best Promotional Announcement. It was for the show The Seventies, a documentary series that ran on CNN during the past TV season. It was the only Emmy award category recognizing marketing and promotion at that ceremony, which honours excellence in the TV news field.    Lewchuk was among the team members recognized for the award-winning campaign. He returned to Atlanta with the impressive-looking Emmy, which he planned to share with his CNN colleagues at a staff celebration Monday. NBCHS moves to off-campus learning

Regular curriculum will continue to be taught during this time away from school. Classroom teachers were contacting their students with the details of their individual learning plans. Meanwhile, Living Sky has stated a case of COVID-19 has also been diagnosed in an individual in Maymont Central School and an individual in Lawrence Elementary School in North Battleford. Any individuals who were in close contact have been notified by Public Health with directions.
