On the morning of April 24, at approximately 8:54 a.m., Northern Rockies Regional RCMP received a call to assist Emergency Health services with a man who had been located injured inside a residence in Fort Nelson.
The 69-year old man did not survive his injuries. Due to the circumstances the residence was secured and the North District Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation. The B.C. Coroners Service has been notified and efforts are underway to determine the cause of death.
The investigation is still in its early stages. Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything or have any information to contact police.

FORT NELSON, B.C – The North District Major Crime Unit are investigating the death of a 69-year-old man in Fort Nelson Saturday.
The Northern Rockies Regional RCMP were called in around 9 a.m. Saturday to assist Emergency Health Services with a man that was injured inside a home. Police says the man didn’t survive his injuries.

The North District Major Crime Unit is investigating a suspicious death in Fort Nelson.
Just before 9 am on Saturday, the RCMP received a call to assist Emergency Health Services with a person who had been located injured inside a residence.
The 69-year old man did not survive his injuries.
