Local Elections 2021: These are your Barrow, SLDC, Ulverston and PCC candidates. In the first elections to be held during the pandemic, voters go to the polls tomorrow. There will be two by-elections in Barrow, along with four in South Lakeland, as well as five town councillors in Ulverston, plus the police and crime commissioner elections for the county. Full elections at district level for both Barrow borough and South Lakeland District Council (SLDC), will have to wait a year, until after the decision on the reshaping of local government is decided upon. In Barrow, there will be two by-elections, one for Hyndpool and one for Roosecote. Hyndpool will see two candidates; Niyall Allister Phillips for the Conservatives and Jo Tyson for Labour. Roosecote will also see two candidates; Paul Anthony Griffiths for Labour and Jay Zaccarini for the Conservatives.
