Winchester BID s Key Worker Otter Trail

Winchester Business Improvement District s latest trail is officially underway – with the initiative going national. The activity encourages families to discover every key worker otter in the city centre. It has been featured in several national newspapers this week, with the PCSO Window otter having its photograph splashed in print and online. A spokesperson for Winchester Police said: Our very own PCSO Window has made the National papers today for promoting the otter trail within the City. The incentive arranged by BID will hopefully raise a substantial amount of money for the Winchester Hospice when the Key Working Otters are later sold.

Winchester BID s otter trail to recognise key workers

The city s Business Improvement District (BID) has announced it will host a Covid-safe Otter Trail. Every participating shop and business will display a key worker otter in its window and a brightly coloured sticker showing a QR code. Participants can download a map from the BID s website from Friday May 21 2021 to use to help them explore the city centre. Sarah Davis, Business Improvement District Manager at the BID said: We are so pleased and proud to be able to deliver this trail that celebrates the extraordinary lengths that key workers have gone to over the past year as well as raising funds for such an important new local charity.
