Most of you who keep up with U.S. energy policy news are probably looking at that headline and scratching your heads. A gas shortage? Why would there be a gas shortage when the United States has become one of the most dominant energy producers on the planet? You might be tempted to suspect that it has something to do with Joe Biden’s executive orders intended to shut down fracking, end pipeline construction and other “green” initiatives. That will probably happen over the next four years, but he’s not going to have that big of an effect before the beginning of summer when the next gas shortage is predicted to hit us. No, this is something entirely different. It’s not technically so much a shortage of gas that we have to worry about, but rather a shortage of truck drivers to bring the gas to the petrol stations where you purchase it. (WSAZ)
Approximately 35 residents of Cape Coral attended city council s special meeting Wednesday to hash out issues they have been having with Waste Pro for at least the past month.
The purpose of the meeting was to hear from the trash collection company officials on what they plan to do to fix the problems residents have been having with trash, recycling, horticulture and bulk pick up.
However, after Waste Pro s presentation, residents and council members still weren t clear on how or when the issue would be fixed.
Councilwoman Gloria Tate suggested Waste Pro put together an action plan by Monday, so that council can provide their constituents with dates they can expect the fixes to be completed by.

EDGERTON, Kan. â A unique opportunity is giving people a chance at a new career as a truck driver.
People who speak English as a second language are able to learn skills driving commercial trucks through a program at Johnson County Community College.
The college s Continuing Education Transportation program teamed up with the Johnson County Adult Education Literacy Program.
According to the school, five students from Algeria, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala and Somalia are taking classes in the program, which is taught in English.

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI – Thomas M. Knapp, age 83, of Negaunee Township, entered eternal life Monday morning, February 1, 2021, at UP Health System-Marquette.
Born January 4, 1938, in Detroit, a son of Walter M. and Florence (Furnier) Knapp, Tom was raised in the St. Clair Shores and Harson’s Island areas of Detroit. Following high school, Tom entered the US Air Force in 1958, serving for four years. His basic training took place in Texas before he was assigned to K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base for the balance of his military service, receiving his honorable discharge in 1962, during the Vietnam Era. It was while serving at Sawyer that Tom met Judith Noel of Sands and on September 8, 1962, the couple was united in marriage. Together, the couple made their first home in Little Lake with subsequent relocations to Marquette and finally Midway Drive in Negaunee Township. For a time, Tom did odd jobs in the area and, while working at a local gas station, met the Marquette City
