Harvard Wrongly Attributes Police Killings to Racism

In a misleading email to alumni, the leadership of Harvard University implied, without evidence, that police killed three people out of racism. It cited the "killings of Adam Toledo," "Daunte Wright," and "George Floyd" in railing against the "evil of racism" and police killings of people "by virtue of the color of their skin."

JOHN DERBYSHIRE: The Chauvin Case—David vs Goliath in Minneapolis…And In America | Articles

Jury selection began this week for the conviction…Oops, sorry: I mean the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin on charges that he murdered the Holy Blessed Martyr George Floyd in Minneapolis last year. As I write, here we are in Day Five of the jury selection, with half of the jurors selected. I ve been following Andrew Branca s coverage of the jury selection at Legal Insurrection with side trips to Scott Johnson s coverage at PowerLine blog. Branca is a seasoned attorney in Massachusetts thirty years’ experience in cases mostly concerning self-defense and use of force. Johnson is also an attorney, in fact a Minnesota attorney, so he knows the judge and other courtroom names.

Department Of Justice Data On Violent Crime And Race

Share and speak up for justice, law & order. There are two principal methods of collecting data on crime in the United States, crimes reported to law enforcement from the FBI; and the National Crime Victimization Survey from the Bureau Of Justice Statistics based on a census-like national survey to get an approximate count of all crime. The report (link below) and my website Crime in America provide further explanations. Any account of crime in the United States is principally based on these two methods of data collection (there are others like Gallup and specific research efforts). As to a need for a national survey to gauge all crime, 41 percent of violent crimes (a considerable decrease from previous years) are reported to law enforcement. It’s much less for property crime. Only a survey can answer questions as to “all” crime.
