Leading infectious diseases expert Professor and Doherty Institute Chair Sharon Lewin said the mystery case in the aged care home was concerning but Melburnians should take solace in the fact that she had received one vaccination.

$23m Beaconsfield aged care home to create 90 jobs

The Mackay Regional Council is expected to approve concessions for the RSL Care Bolton Clarke development in Beaconsfield, filling a gap in the needs of aged care in the city. Developer and operator Bolton Clarke, formerly RSL Care, has the existing Mackay Breezes Senior Living Community on Beaconsfield Rd which consists of 88 Independent Living Units. The company holds development approval for a further 107 ILUs, and the council on Wednesday will decide on concessions for 72 single ensuited rooms in four houses.
