Mumbai, Feb 1 : The ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party-Congress allies on Monday slammed the Union Budget 2021-2022 of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as a national betrayal , letter of intent to sell off government assets and doing injustice to Maharashtra while the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) termed it as path-breaking and all-inclusive.

Bengaluru: Hours after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray accused the Karnataka government of deliberately changing the name of the disputed Belagavi district to Belgaum, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi on Wednesday demanded that Mumbai should be included as a part of the southern state.
While demanding that the financial capital of the country be made a part of Karnataka, Savadi said, The people of this region, as well as I, demand that Mumbai should be included in Karnataka. Until that is done, I demand the Central government to declare Mumbai as a Union Territory.

Mumbai, Jan 27 : Demanding a time-bound programme to resolve the complicated boundary row between his state and Karnataka, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday reiterated his plea to declare the disputed border areas as a Union Territory till the final verdict of the Supreme Court. What has happened has happened. Now we have to fight and win. We will have to work for this in a time-bound programme, said Thackeray, who is also President of the Shiv Sena, which is espousing the cause of the Marathi-speaking people in the border areas since years.
