The No. 1 Louisville Cardinals (16-0, 9-0 ACC) host the No. 4 NC State Wolfpack (11-1, 6-1 ACC) on Monday night at 7 p.m. ET in the teams’ only regular-season meeting this season.
The ESPN2 matchup would be featuring the top two teams in the nation if an Elissa Cunane-less NC State hadn’t stumbled and lost to the Virginia Tech Hokies last Thursday. The Wolfpack’s star player, Cunane is averaging 16.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She was held back in COVID protocol a little longer than the rest of the team, which came off a three-week pause on Jan. 24.

Auriemma passes Summitt
With it being “We Back Pat Week,” it was only fitting that the late, legendary Tennessee Lady Volunteers coach Pat Summitt was honored and remembered for her accomplishments when UConn Huskies head coach Geno Auriemma surpassed her in career wins on Tuesday.
With the Huskies’ 103-35 beatdown of the Butler Bulldogs, Auriemma secured his 1,099th victory as a head coach, one more than Summitt’s 1,098.
