YARDLEY, Pa., Jan. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Crown Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) (Crown), announced today that it will build a new beverage can manufacturing facility in Henry County, Virginia. This will represent the Company s third greenfield beverage can manufacturing investment in North America over the last five years.
This state-of-the-art plant will supply beverage cans to the Company s customers serving a variety of categories including sparkling water, energy drinks, carbonated soft drinks, teas, functional beverages, hard seltzers, beer and cocktails. The plant s geographic location expands Crown s North American supply network to address the growing market for standard and specialty beverage cans.

More than 100 new jobs are coming to Henry County.
Gov. Ralph Northam announced on Thursday that Crown Holdings, Inc., a metal packaging technology company, is investing $145 million to open a new production facility.
The new 355,000-square-foot aluminum can production facility will be at the Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre and will create 126 new jobs. This is the largest initial capital investment a company has ever made in Henry County, according to Jim Adams, chairman of the Henry County Board of Supervisors.
“That commitment shows the faith that Crown Holdings has in our citizens and our team. We are beyond excited about this announcement and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship,” said Adams.

RICHMOND Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Tabet Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of large suite communications equipment and custom solutions for military and industrial customers, will invest $6.5 million to expand its operation in the City of Norfolk. The company will construct a new manufacturing facility adjacent to its current facility at 1336 Ballentine Boulevard to increase production capacity. Virginia successfully competed with Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina for the project, which will create 68 new jobs.

Civica Inc. To Invest $124M To Build New Manufacturing Facility In Virginia
Pharmaceutical manufacturer Civica Inc. will invest $124.5M to establish its first in-house pharmaceutical manufacturing operation in Petersburg, Virginia. The company plans to create 186 new jobs.
Civica is a nonprofit generic drug company launched in 2018 to address the problem of chronic generic drug shortages and high drug prices, and a key partner for the new U.S. government-funded partnership with Phlow Corporation, Medicines for All Institute, and AMPAC Fine Chemicals.
Through this partnership, Phlow executed a $354M contract with the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to produce essential medications using advanced manufacturing processes from the Medicines for All Institute based at the College of Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
