Nearly 250 more COVID-19 patients discharged in Virginia, hospitalizations tick down

RICHMOND, Va. Nearly 250 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).
The VHHA reports a total of 52,808 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 52,561 (+247) patients since Tuesday s update.
Hospitalizations have decreased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 1,060 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, down from 1,070 (+10) Tuesday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 926 (+21) of those patients have COVID-19 while 134 (-10) have tests pending.

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 638,910 total cases, 497,840 of which are confirmed and 141,070 are probable. There are 10,506 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 8,811 being confirmed and 1,695 being probable. The case numbers are up by 2,048, and deaths are up by 20 since Monday
