RICHMOND, Va. More than 50 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).
The VHHA reports a total of 49,083 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 49,030 (+53) patients since Saturday s update.
Hospitalizations have decreased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 1,063 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, down from 1,118 (-55) Saturday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 857 (-59) of those patients have COVID-19 while 206 (+4) have tests pending.

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 594,735 total cases, 467,995 of which are confirmed and 126,740 are probable. There are 10,019 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 8,381 being confirmed and 1,638 being probable. The case numbers are up by 1,173, and deaths are up by 34 since Saturday.
A total of 6,174,378 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
As of Sunday, Virginia has not released its COVID-19 vaccine numbers. This article will be updated when the numbers are released.

According to their website, there are now 593,562 total cases, 467,237 of which are confirmed and 126,325 are probable. There are 9,985 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 8,352 being confirmed and 1,633 being probable. The case numbers are up by 1,348, and deaths are up by 24 since Friday.
A total of 6,155,837 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
As of Saturday, Virginia has given 2,623,902 COVID-19 vaccines.
