Nearly 120 additional COVID-19 patients discharged in Virginia, hospitalizations unchanged

RICHMOND, Va. Nearly 120 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).
The VHHA reports a total of 48,920 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 48,804 (+116) patients since Thursday s update.
Hospitalizations have remained unchanged in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 1,129 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending Friday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 925 (no change) of those patients have COVID-19 while 204 (no change) have tests pending.

As of Thursday Virginia has given a total of 2,493,097 COVID-19 vaccines over time. Hampton Roads has given 15,523 vaccine doses since Wednesday which is about 24% of the statewide doses given in a day.
