Virginia sees 5,121 new COVID-19 cases in a day as statewide percent of positive tests continues to decrease

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 493,674 total cases, 396,440 of which are confirmed and 97,234 are probable. There are 6,308 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 5,566 being confirmed and 742 being probable. The case numbers are up by 5,121, and deaths are up by 80 since Wednesday.
A total of 5,146,985 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
As of Thursday Virginia has given a total of 641,873 COVID-19 vaccines. The table below gives more information about local vaccine distribution.

RICHMOND, Va. Nearly 775 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).
The VHHA reports a total of 38,597 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 37,823 (+774) patients since Wednesday s update.
Hospitalizations have decreased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 2,706 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, down from 2,868 (-162) Wednesday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 2,439 (-115) of those patients have COVID-19 while 267 (-47) have tests pending.

The VHHA reports a total of 37,823 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 37,527 (+296) patients since Tuesday s update.
Hospitalizations have increased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 2,868 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, up from 2,847 (+21) Tuesday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 2,554 (-13) of those patients have COVID-19 while 314 (+34) have tests pending.

The VHHA reports a total of 37,527 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 37,191 (+336) patients since Monday s update.
Hospitalizations have decreased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 2,847 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, down from 2,892 (-45) Monday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 2,567 (-5) of those patients have COVID-19 while 280 (-40) have tests pending.

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 483,326 total cases, 389,259 of which are confirmed and 94,067 are probable. There are 6,174 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 5,442 being confirmed and 732 being probable. The case numbers are up by 4,707, and deaths are up by 93 since Monday

The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Tuesday, there are 2,567 people currently being hospitalized, confirmed with COVID-19. There are 280 people receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are still pending. Combined, there are a total of 2,847 being hospitalized for coronavirus related illness. That s 96 more hospitalizations from Monday.
