100+ additional COVID-19 patients discharged in Virginia; hospitalizations tick up

RICHMOND, Va. More than 100 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).
The VHHA reports a total of 37,191 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 37,076 (+115) patients since Sunday s update.
Hospitalizations have increased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 2,892 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, up from 2,850 (+42) Sunday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 2,572 (+32) of those patients have COVID-19 while 320 (+10) have tests pending.
Nearly 260 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association.

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 468,655 total cases, 378,689 of which are confirmed and 89,966 are probable. There are 6,079 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 5,334 being confirmed and 745 being probable. The case numbers are up by 4,904, and deaths are up by 77 since Friday.
As of Saturday Virginia has given a total of 443,760 COVID-19 vaccines. The table below gives more information about local vaccine distribution.
