Virginia hospitals have administered more than 102,900 doses of Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines over the last three weeks, the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association reports.
“Hospitals across the commonwealth are working to vaccinate people in the initial priority population in a safe, effective and expeditious manner and have made strong progress on that ongoing work,” said Steven C. Arner, chief operating officer of Carilion Clinic and chairman of VHHA’s Board of Directors. “Moving ahead, we will share vaccination data with the public to help track the continuing progress of this critically important public health effort.”

VIRGINIA Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam outlined the priority groups for the next phases of COVID-19 vaccinations and urged vaccine providers to not let doses go to waste.
Virginia is more than three weeks into vaccinations after Pfizer s COVID-19 became available, followed by Moderna s vaccine a week later. The groups prioritized for vaccinations in Virginia s phase 1a are health care workers and long-term care facility residents and workers. An estimated 500,000 people in Virginia are in these groups.

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 377,300 total cases, 313,349 of which are confirmed and 63,951 are probable. There are 5,226 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 4,604 being confirmed and 622 being probable. The case numbers are up by 5,387, and deaths are up by 35 since Tuesday.
A total of 4,428,211 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Wednesday there are 2,618 people currently being hospitalized, confirmed with COVID-19. There are 307 people receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are still pending. Combined, there are a total of 2,925 being hospitalized for coronavirus related illness. Tha

RICHMOND, Va. More than 360 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA).
The VHHA reports a total of 32,101 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 31,735 (+366) patients since Tuesday s update.
Hospitalizations have increased in Virginia over the last 24 hours.
There are currently 2,925 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, up from 2,918 (+7) Tuesday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 2,618 (+10) of those patients have COVID-19 while 307 (-3) have tests pending.
