Dr Peter John Chaudoir A GP who treated patients and delivered babies across the Wyre Forest district before his retirement has died, aged 88. Dr Peter John Chaudoir came to Kidderminster in 1962 as a junior partner to Dr Dick Harper in Comberton Hill, now Holmwood Care Home. They grew the practice and were delighted to move to the purpose-built, Bromsgrove Street Medical Centre. Peter also ran a satellite surgery in Hartlebury for several years. Peter was a pioneer in the care of pregnant women, introducing pre and anti-natal clinics, always interested in child development and was popular with young patients. He later moved the practice to Stanmore House as a fund holding practitioner.
THERE has been one newly recorded coronavirus related death at Worcestershire s hospitals, according to the latest data. The NHS latest figures (February 5), shows one new coronavirus related death in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, bringing its total up 691. The recorded deaths at Worcestershire Heath and Care NHS Trust remains at 51. It means the total number of coronavirus related deaths in Worcestershire hospitals is now 742. In England further 537 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 74,786. Patients were aged between 15 and 100 years old. All except 21 (aged 45 to 98 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
