The figures released by NHS England today (Saturday, January 2) show six of the newly recorded deaths were at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust settings, while there was a further death at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. It means the total number of deaths at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS trust is now at 446, with the number of deaths in the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust at 42. In total, there have been 488 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals.

In total, there have been 481 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals. In all settings, including hospitals, hospices and at home, there have been at least 741 Covid-19 related deaths in the county. The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.
