NZ, Singapore commit to cooperation on hydrogen

Woods signed the agreement with Singapore s Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng. It is New Zealand s second hydrogen arrangement after one signed with Japan in 2018.

Last year, 235kg of overseas coal was imported for every New Zealander in order to power homes and businesses. This is also only imported coal; the country also produces coal domestically.
