Hyderabad: Nights have been turning cold in the city. Minimum temperatures have been falling below normal in the last seven days.
For a normal minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius during the current period, temperatures were falling below 15 degrees Celsius also, said India Meteorological Department officials. On Monday morning (February 8), the minimum temperature reported in the city was 15.7 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature yesterday was 30.1 degrees Celsius. Temperatures fell below 15 degrees Celsius also on February 4. In the last seven days, weather conditions during the night time saw a sudden change with minimum temperatures at times falling by five degrees.
The minimum temperatures reported from Medam and Hyderabad is 6.6° Celsius and 4.7° Celsius lower than normal. Cold wave to continue for two days more in Telangana, temperature drop of 3-4° in isolated places  |  Photo Credit: PTI
Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department in the city informed on Tuesday (December 22) that a cold wave is prevailing over the state and will continue for another one to two days.
According to the forecast, the minimum temperatures will drop by 3-4 degrees C in isolated areas. Yesterday, IMD reported the lowest minimum temperature of 5.7 degrees C from Adilabad, followed by 7.2 degrees in Medak and 10.4 degrees C in the city.
