“I m fascinated by the way the planet is constantly changing and being altered,” Baldi says. “I used to be very nihilistic about the end result of the whole process. But as I ve gotten older I ve started finding it important to try and retain a sense of hope for a decent future. It s easy to sit back and comment on the state of things, but it s much more rewarding to look for ways to improve the situation rather than let it all fall apart.”
