(WTOC) - There’s rarely a dull day for residents at The Social at Savannah, thanks in large part to their social network director Lucille Dixon Recently Dixon was approved to foster animals, which is where her next idea came from. “We should get a bunny. We could foster a bunny, right? And they were like, ‘no we can’t foster a bunny.’ I said, “ehhhh, we can foster a bunny.’” Dixon recalls. Well, as it turns out, they could, and would foster a bunny.

(WTOC) - The Humane Society for Greater Savannah saw a large amount of adoptions this year even during the pandemic. They’re closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but you can still donate to them and animals in need. The Humane Society says 2020 has been a great year for adoptions. They’re just 34 adoptions away from matching last year’s total amount of adoptions. Just weeks ago every dog at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah was adopted.
