Muriel Pryce Spagnolli, 85, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents J. Stanley and Susette Pryce and her loving husband Dino Spagnolli and her in-laws, Beany, Ann and Betty Spagnolli. She is survived by her son Scott, his wife Suzanne and her grandchildren Michael, Conor and Liam Spagnolli; her brother Rev. Richard Pryce and his wife Gail and several nieces and nephews.
She grew up in Moravia, NY and spent her summers at Indian Cove on Owasco Lake. She received her BS and MS in Elementary Education from the State University of Cortland with a teaching career spanning Seneca Falls, Endwell and the Binghamton School systems. She was a member of First & United Presbyterian Church in Binghamton where she served as an elder trustee and education council member. She was a member also of the Junior League and The Phelps Mansion and served on the board of the Binghamton Boys and Girls Club, Foster Grandparents Program and Family and Childrenâs Societ

The University of Maine Center on Aging has received an AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP grant to support 119 volunteers serving in Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis and Washington counties, where the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) program has provided service opportunities for people ages 55 and older since 2003.
The AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program was awarded $99,202 for the first year of a six-year funding cycle. Every six years, RSVP programs undergo a competitive grant process. This new award permits the UMaine Center on Aging to continue to oversee RSVP under the leadership of its longtime director Paula Burnett.

ESCANABA – Mary Lynn Bunnin (Larson), age 77, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday morning, December 27, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 28, 1943 in Escanaba, Mich., the daughter of Nils and Rilla (Christian) Larson. Mary graduated from Escanaba High School with the Class of 1961, attended Bay de Noc Community College, Northern Michigan University, and the University of Wisconsin-Stephens Point. She had lived in Wisconsin and California before returning to Escanaba in the late 1970s.
Mary was always actively involved in the community and constantly gave back. Her career was focused on seniors, having worked for MDS – Community Action Agency for 30 years in various roles. She was director of Foster Grandparents Program and director of VISCAP, and the Escanaba Senior Center. She participated in events such as Walking for Warmth, and was involved with the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association, and Caregivers Support
