Oregon reports 713 new COVID-19 cases, 10 new deaths
The Oregon Health Authority has reported 10 new COVID-19 deaths, including one each in Marion and Polk counties.
It reported 713 new cases, bringing the cumulative case count to 194,542 and the death toll to 2,582.
Marion County reported 60 new cases. Polk County reported 14 new cases.
Other counties’ new cases were: Baker (4), Benton (6), Clackamas (100), Clatsop (6), Columbia (5), Coos (5), Crook (11), Deschutes (68), Douglas (10), Grant (13), Harney (2), Hood River (4), Jackson (39), Jefferson (8), Josephine (10), Klamath (35), Lake (3), Lane (46), Lincoln (4), Linn (29), Malheur (5), Morrow (3), Multnomah (120), Tillamook (3), Umatilla (17), Union (1), Wasco (2), Washington (70) and Yamhill (10).

Monday May 10th 2021 at about 6:24 p.m., the Curry County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch center received a 911 call from 21-year-old David Bowen, stating that he had fallen off about a 100-foot cliff, landed on a rock and had a broken leg.
Bowen stated that he and his friend, Elric Mack, both visiting from Boise Idaho were at the bottom of Nellies Cove in Port Orford next to the water’s edge.
