A member of École secondaire catholique Algonquin has tested positive for COVID-19.
Monique Ménard, director of education for Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord, issued the notice to parents Friday afternoon informing them that all Grade 9 students will be learning remotely.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit will not be joining the other 27 Public Health Regions that are leaving shutdown.
The province shared today that our area, along with Toronto Public Health, Peel Public Health, York Region Public Health will remain in the shutdown.
The Stay-at-Home order and all existing public health and workplace safety measures will continue to be in place until February 22nd.
