Parry Sound down to one active case of COVID-19 SHARE ON: Only one active case of COVID-19 remains in Parry Sound as of Tuesday. The local health unit added one recovery and no new cases of COVID-19 in the district.  According to the health unit’s data, Monday’s new case was found in Nipissing, not Parry Sound. One person, 19 years or younger, tested positive in Nipissing and no new recoveries were added bringing that district to five active cases. North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit says its done 305 COVID-19 tests in the last day.

The deaths reported today include one person between 20 and 39 years old, two people between 40 and 59 years old, 10 people between 60 and 79 years old, and 23 people over the age of 80.

Since the pandemic was declared in March, there have been 191 cases reported in the region. Of those, 113 – including the case reported on the weekend – have been in Nipissing, while 78 – including one death – were reported in Parry Sound District.
