The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has begun accepting COVID-19 vaccination appointments for individuals between 55 and 59 years of age.
Individuals in the district born in 1966 or before will be able to book an appointment to attend local COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

Those who meet the criteria can go to www.ontario.ca/BookVaccine to book an appointment.
“The health unit requests individuals born in 1966 or before use the provincial online booking system if possible, as local call centre volume continues to be high,” a statement from the health unit said.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit administered 1,848 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine Thursday over the previous day, bringing its total to date up to 41,595.
This includes first and second doses administered to both residents and non-residents at vaccine events within the health unit region.

There are now 42,322 residents with at least one dose of vaccine, representing 38.97 per cent of the health unit’s adult population. This may include residents who have received a dose outside of the health unit district.
