The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 and five resolved over the weekend.
There are now 21 active cases in the region. Sixteen of the active cases are in Nipissing District, five in Parry Sound District.

Two people – both in Nipissing District – are in hospital.
Altogether, there have been 333 cases in the region since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared just over a year ago.
The health unit also reports there are 49 preliminary positive variants of concern, an increase of eight since the last update Friday. Of those, 27 have been genotyped as originating in South Africa, the B.1.351 variant, while six have been identified as the U.K. Variant B.1.1.7.
