The CT scanner, which went online Nov. 10, has already conducted 352 scans, showing its value to the community, says Cynthia Desormiers, the hospital’s president and chief executive officer.
Having a CT scanner on site, Desormiers says, addresses a situation where patients had to travel to North Bay or Sudbury for scans, with additional trips possible for specialized medical care.
