An ice storm swept through the mid-Willamette Valley Friday night, downing trees and causing widespread power outages. Here are ongoing list of resources for residents impacted by the storm:

McKinsey & Company, one of the world s largest consulting firms, will pay nearly $600 million in multiple settlements over its work consulting for drug companies that states say fueled the nation s opioid crisis.
McKinsey reached the agreement with a coalition of 47 attorneys general, the District of Columbia and five US territories. The company settled separately with the attorneys general of Washington and West Virginia.

Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum announced $5 million in grants for 12 state nonprofits that help communities impacted by inequity, like LGBTQ+, LatinX and BIPOC domestic violence survivors. Our AG is hearing us and I think that’s a step starting the process, being heard, said Jackie Vargas with CASA Esperanza, the LatinX domestic violence shelter, which got a three-year grant worth $300,000. This funding will definitely be a way to move us toward that direction that we need to go to, said Vargas.
Vargas said it s always tough to get funding, especially during COVID. She said domestic violence numbers are going up in the LatinX community.
Wyden, 71, told Oregon Public Broadcasting he believes he has more work to do in Washington, D.C.
âOf course Iâm running,â he said. âThereâs so much to do for Oregonians, and Iâd very much like to have the honor of representing Oregonians again.â
Wyden holds several key positions in Congress, including on the Senate Intelligence Committee. Should Democrats regain control of the Senate this month, Wyden is in line to chair the Senate Finance Committee.
One of his priorities in the coming Congress, Wyden said, is wildfire preparation and prevention. He and U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley have proposed creating a 21st century civilian conservation corps â essentially a modern re-creation of a program that was part of President Franklin Rooseveltâs efforts to pull the United States out of the Great Depression.
