LITTLE ROCK – This Memorial Day Weekend is much more than an extra day off from work; it is a day to reflect on the sacrifices that were made by countless men and women who died in service to our nation. It is also a good time to thank our veterans, military service members, and their families for their service to the United States of America. Unfortunately, because of their service, it also makes our brave men and women a target of scam artists who try to manipulate service members to steal their personal information.
“It is disgraceful that these criminals would target some of our bravest men and women who have put their lives on the line for this great country,” said Attorney General Rutledge. “I want veterans, active duty and reserve service members, and their families across Arkansas to learn how to recognize these scams to avoid falling victim to the deception.”

Arkansas AG Rutledge Asks U.S. Supreme Court to Review Arkansas Law Barring Abortion Based on Down Syndrome Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge filed a petition for a writ of certiorari asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review a decision by the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals that held the Constitution guarantees a right to selective abortion of children with Down syndrome.
In January, the Eighth Circuit affirmed a lower court’s order that blocked Arkansas’s law prohibiting abortions that are performed solely on the basis of Down syndrome. Attorney General Rutledge’s petition asks the Supreme Court to reverse the Eighth Circuit.
Rutledge Leads 16-State Coalition Supporting the NRA Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced that Arkansas is leading an amicus brief joined by 16 State attorneys general supporting the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) efforts to “dump” New York and reorganize in Texas.
The brief opposes the New York Attorney General Letitia James’s effort to dismiss the NRA’s chapter 11 petition and recounts New York’s politically motivated attempt in a separate lawsuit to dissolve the NRA. The NRA is the country’s oldest civil rights organization and leading Second Amendment advocacy organization, and James hopes that her attempts to destroy the NRA will undermine Americans’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

‘SURPRISE’ GUEST: At Sanders fund-raiser.
2022 gubernatorial candidate

The surprise guest was the guy Sanders was once employed to lie for and the setting was Mar-a-Lago, his home in voter exile. I look forward to seeing how much he charged Sanders for use of his place to raise money for her Arkansas campaign. It is a campaign as yet unsullied by the mention of anything she’d do for Arkansas except open the already-open schools, protect a non-existent border with Mexico and cancel the libs that are so powerful in Arkansas these days. She’s made no public appearances in Arkansas since announcing.
