Some cans of Ox & Palm Corned Beef Original that were recalled were sold at Cost-U-Less locations in Chalan Pago, Dededo and Tamuning, according to the Department of Public Health and Social Services.
Milky Way International Trading Corp., doing business as MW Polar, is recalling approximately 297,715 pounds of ready-to-eat canned corned beef products imported and distributed in the United States without the benefit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service import re-inspection, according to a news release.
Public Health’s Division of Environmental Health is working closely with Cost-U-Less, which was notified of the recall by corporate headquarters March 3. Corrective actions were immediately taken, with approximately 4,765 round cans and 15,896 tapered cans of Ox & Palm Corned Beef Original products removed from store shelves, the release stated.

Milky Way International Trading Corp., doing business as MW Polar, a Norwalk, Calif., firm, is recalling approximately 297,715 pounds of ready-to-eat canned corned beef products that were imported and distributed in the United States without the benefit of FSIS import re-inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The canned corned beef items were imported on various dates between June 6, 2020, to Jan. 21, 2021. The product cans are labeled with various “Best Before” dates and the product cases are labeled with various shipping marks.
