HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - Hopewell police are investigating after a teenager was shot in the arm on Monday.
Police were called around 3:40 p.m. to the area of Weston Circle and West Cawson Street for the report of shots fired.
While police were searching the area, police were called to John Randolph Medical Center for the report of a teen with a gunshot wound to the right arm.

HOPEWELL – A 17-year-old male victim was transported to John Randolph Medical Center by a friend on Monday, January 25 where he was treated with a non-life-threatening injury.
At approximately 3:40 P.M., officers responded to the area of Weston Circle and West Cawson Street after reported shots fired in the area. As officers were canvassing the area, police telecommunications received a call of a juvenile male with a gunshot wound to his right arm was admitted to the emergency room.
Officers responded to John Randolph Medical Center to investigate the incident.
Members of the Hopewell Police Department Criminal Investigation (CIU) subsequently initiated an investigation.
